The call ignited a response that included seven Ventura County Sheriffs' vehicles, one K-9 unit, a police helicopter and one Los Angeles Fire Department team that sat down the street on standby.

What a missed opportunity. The police could have done a lot of things rather than show up in force. How about they send in an intervention sociologist or just say they would send around someone to fill out a report at a later date?
