Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told Kara Swisher of the New York Times in an interview released Monday that the House of Representatives can impeach President Donald Trump “every day of the week for anything he does.”
Swisher, a tech journalist with left-wing views, was pushing Pelosi to commit to doing more to fight back against President Trump, the Republican, and the conservative agenda.
The following exchange ensued:
Swisher: All right, but I’m going to press you one more time. What is your power to do this? I get the election, but you can get up more. You can speak out more. You can do more impeachments, things like that. Do you have enough power?
Pelosi: Well, we can impeach him every day of the week for anything he does. In fact, for —

He will, but he just doesn't have to. The House can do all the silly stuff they want, but the Republican-controlled Senate is where the rubber meets the road, and McConnell has already said he'll ignore their impeachment proceedings.
Never mind that THEY get more respect as well.
If it's the only thing she's capable of then I guess that's what she will do. As a 'career politician who ought to know much better, if this is her concept of her profession and duties, her level of political resourcefulness is laughably stunted. She never was the most accomplished or professional individual, but with every challenge now, her inabilities are more and more glaring.
Actually governing by impeachment may work. The President does something policy wise unilaterally by EO. The HOR impeaches over it. He is acquitted. Then its on to the next policy thing. I like it.

This is the case that everyone needs to be paying attention to... this is the October surprise. Don’t underestimate the impact of this one. It is political, and a little sticky...enough that it can’t be resolved before election...think 24 hours a day, analysts, lawyers, etc trying to pin this on Trump.

The hope of course is that they’ve chased so much already that the voters who matter are inoculated against another such attack.
This is exactly the sort of thing that ended the Roman republic and created emperors. The targeting of political enemies for fake crimes to get them removed from power eventually led one of them - Julius Caesar - to say ‘you know what? I have an army and I don’t need to let them ruin me just because they feel like it.’ Civil war followed and the Republic was swept away.
I’m waiting for her to impeach Justice Thomas or AG Barr.
This is an empty threat, and a dangerous one for the next Democrat President.
The Democrats are creating standards that someday will be used against them.
