Touted as the first big televised awards event, the 72nd Emmy Awards aired on September 20 on ABC. The host of the virtual event was late night show host Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel's jokes and bits in front of no live audience were cringe-inducing. Two notable instances came when his opening monologue took a hit at MAGA rallies and when banter with actor Anthony Anderson included a demand for Kimmel to shout "Black Lives Matter!" so "Mike Pence can hear it."

When will the TV execs catch on to the fact that a huge majority of Americans can’t stand the schmoe Kimmel. He is a disgusting POS. Mickey Mouse club reruns had higher ratings.

What’s an Emmy? Another public self gratification shindig. Haven’t cared about it for over 15 years.
I can honestly say I didn’t know it was on.
I don’t care about the emmy’s any more as I don’t watch the TV shows that have been nominated. I do watch Outlander when it is on.
I DID watch Mark Levin interviewing President Trump last night.
Unfortunately they will be back next year and the year after that and the year after that, no matter what the ratings are. It’s one of hollywoods favorite platforms for letting us know how woke they are.

I watched the CMAs on the DVR yesterday. I was saddened by the political correctness that is infecting even country music now. There’s not going to be anywhere for patriots to go, no TV to watch, no movies, no music.
I haven’t watched an awards show in years but did stumble upon it for a short bit not even recognizing what it was. It was like a backyard barbecue and the same guy won like four times in a row. It was more bizarre than I remember.
After seeing the automatic primetime recording on our DVR, I took great delight in Hitting the delete button

I don’t watch any of the awards shows. Never have.
I read the list of winners today; and, that was my take-away. I hadn't watched any of the shows that had won an Emmy. And, very few of the shows that were even nominated.
