My husband lived in Alaska a couple of years; they have a bit of contempt for “downsiders” who come up to live there, especially Californians. Of course, except for natives, everyone there were once downsiders, themselves.
Whoever runs against Murkowski in the Primary, Trump should go and campaign for them, make sure everyone knows what a dirtbag she is. She should also get kicked off of any committee she is on. Set an example for what happens to people who betray the POTUS.
Joe Miller almost won that seat and Murkowski started a write in campaign right before the election and guess what she won the seat.

I think Senator M is worried about her legacy...She wants to be remembered as someone who was not too partisan...She wants to be praised for “playing fair”...
Some Republicans, like Romney and Murkowski, sometimes seem to be obsessed with “playing fair”...I find “playing fair” business just frustrating...

They primaried her last time and what did she do? She ran 3rd party and the dems crossed over and voted for her b/c the primary winner was Tea Party. She's a weasel.
There’s nothing wrong with her logic although I don’t know if the people of Alaska would appreciate not being represented by her in a vote on a SCOTUS nominee. If the majority leader is moving forward on a nomination she has an obligation to vote one way or the other.

I sent her a long polite email on the subject. I doubt it will get read. But I pointed out that since she wants to protect the rights of the American voters, maybe she ought to consider the rights of the voters that elected a Republican President and Senate for just this circumstance.
