Protesters outside McConnell's home use his own words to demand delay in filling Ginsberg's seat

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A group of more than 100 protesters gathered outside Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's home Saturday in response to an announcement that the Kentucky legislator will push to quickly fill the U.S. Supreme Court vacancy created by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

McConnell issued a statement late Friday saying he intends to hold a vote on whomever President Donald Trump nominates to succeed Ginsburg, even though Election Day is less than two months away.

Protesters lined the streets the next day in front of the senator's home in the Belknap neighborhood shortly after noon, chanting "Hey hey, ho ho, Mitch McConnell has got to go" and "vote him out" as several passing drivers honked and waved support.

Louisville Metro Police officers arrested one protester on charges of disorderly conduct and an improper parking violation. By around 3:30 p.m., the protest had ended.

Laura Johnsrude of Prospect, Kentucky, was one of several protesters at the rally who brought a sign reading, "The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president."

They should use Biden’s own words from 2016 as he discussed how it is the Senate’s job to act upon the Presidents nominee. Plenty of hypocrisy to go around here.

Of all the things I despise about Leftists, it is their inability to come up with anything original, unless one counts their unparalleled moonbat insanity as original.

I have spent plenty of time across from these people, and their inane "Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho" chant is so in tune with their childish desire to return to their golden days in the Sixties, that I can barely restrain myself when I hear them doing it.

You would think they would be able to think something new up after fifty or sixty years, but...no. It is the same with their signs they carry-I did an analysis that I post on FR with pictures I have taken from demonstrations I have been at, and contrast Leftist and Conservative expressions of opinion in their signs. Leftists are so incapable of original thought that they require someone to print up signs and provide them for their protests.

I saw this once, and it made me laugh so heartily that I still chuckle when I see it:

Elections have consequences. As for Scalia, Republicans controlled the House and Senate, while the Democrats controlled the White House. Historically when a SCOTUS position opens up in divided control, the President does not get his nominee voted on. Now the Republicans control the Senate and the Presidency, so historically the President gets his nominee voted on in this situation. So the key is that the party that controls the Senate & Presidency is critical as to whether the President gets his nominee voted on in divided control between the parties.

Oh let's throw a pity party for the Democrats. Better yet, let's start indicting them on RICO charges for their vast crimes.

The dems and the MSM are using the term Lameduck today all over the place in a knowingly false context to bolster their fraudulent case against President Trump nominating a replacement for RBG.
President Trump is not a Lameduck. He is eligible for reelection. A Lameduck is not.

That sign must've been rather long winded. Hey, snowflakes, if you feel the need to convey a message, the rule of thumb is KISS, Keep It Simple, Stupid.

its npt hypocrisy on either side.

its all of us history

when the senate and the president are in the same party, the senate has voted on scotus nominees in election years

for both parties

when the senate and president are run by dofferent parties, the scotus nominees do not get voted on in election years

for both parties

this is shown throughout our history and both sides are consistent in their behavior

to claim this is unprecedented or hypocritical is completely wrong, its true to form for the last 240+ years
