>>Police say she was trying to de-arrest a comrade when she was tackled.

“De-arrest”?

Help someone break free from custody (jailbreak).

Add it to the list of charges.

5 years in federal prison on each charge.

>>Police say she was trying to de-arrest a comrade when she was tackled. “De-arrest”?

Never heard the term until now.

At libraries when they throw away books and toss them into the garbage dumpsters they say it is "de-selection." Happens to most of the books you may donate, by the way. Too much staff time to catalog and shelve them. Probably pro-America stuff, anyway. At my workplace university library I saw a donated book about liberal media bias And That's The Way It Isn't on the incoming shelves and soon after learned it had been destroyed instead of added to the collection. Common to do.

Defund the police. De-escalate the violent encounter when a wild eyed criminal holds his estranged wife by the head and swings a long blade at the police. Disarmed is used by law enforcement when their gun is taken from them or dropped when armed opponent forces it to be done.

So de-arrest must cover grabbing the "suspect" and running away with the homeboys and social justice white rioters.

What a declining world we live in.

“De-arrest”?

They need to be “de-breathed”.

Police say she was trying to de-arrest a comrade when she was tackled.

One could say "de-arrest" or simply "liberate."

Likewise, jail-breaks are now to be referred to as "de-incarcerations."

Regards,

de-arrest, mobbing an officer to attempt to interfer with a lawful arrest with the intent to ‘liberate’ an arrestee - known in California as ‘lynching an officer’. They even had a portland protest twitter class on ‘techniques’. The part about ‘escape’ and ‘attempted escape’ being added to the arrestee’s charges for their efforts was left out, tho.

These critters are some of the same people who want to be hired as ‘mental health counselors’ to replace the police. The same people that scream at licensed paramedics with advanced education to quit their jobs because that they are more ignorant than their ‘street medics’ with little to no education. And scream at advanced education police to quit their jobs because the antifa ‘security’ are so much better than they are.

I’m all for assigning an army of mental health counselors - but rather than shoulders to whine on counselors with marshmellow jobs and fat salaries like they want for themselves, I’d prefer the type that make nice thick case files for the judge to review before mandating compulsory mental health treatment and extended term anger management classes for all 1,000 that have been arrested to date.
