Nadler Urges Democrats to ‘Expand’ Supreme Court if GOP Fills Ginsburg Seat Before Inauguration
Breitbart ^ | September 19 2020 | HARIS ALIC

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) urged Democrats on Saturday to “immediately” mobilize to “expand” the Supreme Court if Republicans succeed in confirming a replacement for the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

“If Sen. McConnell and [the] Senate GOP were to force through a nominee during the lame-duck session—before a new Senate and president can take office—then the incoming Senate should immediately move to expand the Supreme Court,” the New York lawmaker wrote on social media.

Nadler added in a follow-up message that “filling the SCOTUS vacancy during a lame-duck session, after the American people have voted for new leadership, is undemocratic and a clear violation of the public trust in elected officials.”

It also sounds like he knows all about “undemocratic and a clear violation of the public trust in elected officials.”

He and his fellow travelers have already laid down that treacherous road.

It’s not entirely clear to me that the Supreme Court would be required to accept additional justices. Is it a certainty that Roberts would swear them in? Surely any court packing scheme would face legal challenge. On what grounds? Grounds don’t seem to matter anymore.

What would be great entertainment would be if trump gets re-elected (I think he won’t, due mainly to vote fraud), and if the Republicans hold the senate (i think they don’t because they’re generally useless), the Republicans should try to pack the court. Nominate 5 more justices all at once.

Then grab some popcorn and sit back and watch the libs, dems and mediwhores raging hypocrisy.

“Then grab some popcorn and sit back and watch the libs, dems and mediwhores raging hypocrisy.”

It would be entertaining if there was such a thing as leftist hypocrisy or shame.

There isn’t, and hasn’t been for a long time.

Many on the left are (yawn) “OUTRAGED” that the president would nominate a RBG replacement before the election, ignoring readily available video from 2016 in which Obama states it’s not only a presidential duty and obligation, but the right thing to do.

I've tried to figure out your reply to me and I simply can't grasp why you responded to me in the manner in which you have.

My comment - "The “if” is strong in this one."
Meaning his desires are not likely to come to fruition.
And you reply thusly...
There is NO WAY Biden wins this election NO WAY!!

Can you understand my confusion as to why you responded to me in the manner in which you did?/
I didn't make any claim that Bite Me could, or would, win the upcoming election.

Was I too oblique in my comment or were you trying to bolster my already bolstered confidence in a POTUS win?

Perhaps an.../sarcasm or a.../comedic Yoda attempt would have helped in my original reply.

I guess that means it’s okay for us to expand the Supreme Court right now - this month.

Exactly. Another thread identifies two potential SCOTUS nominees and asks which one Trump might put forward. He should point to No-Nads and nominate them both.

FDR tried this and was shot down by his own party, every major position.

Problem here is that the liberals/socialist are openly trying to create a political hold on the court rather than allowing the justices to review law. This has led to the justices using or determining law based upon political theology and not determined law. Ginsburg herself had said she had in the past used foreign law to determine her decisions on cases. They are there to apply criminal and Constitutional law, not politically create law from the bench. So they are not representing the will of the people, they are changing rules the people created for a political gain being created rather than existing laws. Politically, they should be neutral at that level.

LOL! Some real snarky there tart. Love it!

Per Wiki - “In U.S. politics, the period between (presidential and congressional) elections in November and the inauguration of officials early in the following year is commonly called the “lame duck period”.
A president is a lame duck after a successor has been elected,
during which time the outgoing president and president-elect usually embark on a transition of power.”

Maybe WE should expand the court.

Democrat controlled the courts for decades... as soon as we might have control they not only want to quit and take their ball home - they want to destroy the system.

Let’s beat ‘em to it. Expand the court to 300 conservatives... or 10,000. Maybe every Republican on the planet...

What’s next?

Are democrats going to threaten to burn our cities down and loot our stores? Oh wait, guess they’ve used that one... Maybe burn our forest? Oh wait. Kill our children? They would if they could..

Democrat are a crime family.

Sounds like Nadless let the cat out of the bag. The fix is in, so they think.

With all this talk about expanding the Supreme Court Trump should (jokingly) suggest expanding the Supreme Court by millions - All registered republicans as of Nov 3 2020 to be group nominated.

For icing on the cake suggest that all future Supreme Court cases can be decided by mail in ballots.
