I heard Robert Barnes, who is a very smart attorney, being interviewed by Alex J. tonight. He said the word was that Lagoa is a legit conservative and he reminded me that Barrett oddly said she must recuse herself from decisions where a constitutional ruling would go against dictates from Rome (think Francis and illegal immigration):

Barnes fervently hopes that Trump sticks to his guns and names Lagoa.

Barnes is a big time gambler and usually backs his predictions with his money.

The program he does on People’s Pundit Daily is called “What are the odds?”

I think that Barrett’s answer is brilliant.

Realize that the dictates of Rome are a lot more complex than the latest lukewarm distillation of them that has been spewn out of the mouth of a Roman official, and Barrett knows that.

“Barrett oddly said she must recuse herself from decisions where a constitutional ruling would go against dictates from Rome”

That’s not good AT ALL, if true! I’ve seen a clip of her saying that her religion wouldn’t come in to play when making decisions. It seemed to be in a hearing setting. So I wonder which is true.

Yes. Here's the abstract and link for that paper.

Really? 60 years since JFK and people still believe government officials will bow to Rome? That is a lame stance in 2020.
