No, Trump should pick the guy (can’t remember his name) who is of Indian ethnicity. How could the Dems vote against the first Asian Supreme Court justice?

Wedge issue much, daniel1212? Well, the Catholic aspect and the info on the "sect" is an issue though should be addressed, and along with that comes my judgment on the church itself. And which should be allowed in a forum, though Catholics have often shown they want such to be censored.

YES, and although that can be a problem with men as well, it is a more dangerous problem where women are serving in positions where real damage can be done to a country’s national interests.

“...A mother of seven who adopted two children from Haiti and belongs to a Christian sect that inspired The Handmaid’s Tale...”
The Handmaid’s Tale
From Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Handmaid%27s_Tale
“The Handmaid’s Tale explores themes of subjugated women in a patriarchal society and the various means by which these women resist and attempt to gain individuality and independence.”
The women protesting against Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation during the Senate hearings were wearing costumes from “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

The Wikipedia article on the handmaid’s tale makes no mention of People of Praise, saying instead that it was inspired by Old Testament accounts.

True. Not only that, but I just looked more into the context of the matter. The author of "The Handmaid's Tale" would probably have been against a group like the group that Barrett is or was involved with.

So People of Praise might be a good thing. I don’t know anything about it, other than the likely social conservatism.
Some might have concerns about immigration and the death penalty, though. At the same time, there’s much that we don’t know about each of the candidates for nomination.

Just imagine the Dems trying to denounce a black woman for SCOTUS, that would send the Dems into total chaos.

From link:
Barrett is a devout Catholic and mother of seven from Indiana, who has adopted two kids from Haiti and has a biological child with special needs. She is a member of a Christian group name People of Praise, where members are assigned a 'handmaiden', a personal adviser with whom they are encouraged to confess personal sins, financial information and other sensitive disclosures.
