No problem. We are all on the same side here.

I'm not a fan of any organized religion and I NEVER think of Catholics as conservatives. Their Pope is a Communist.

I am a Conservative Catholic and our Pope is a communist.

I am not a fan of any kalifornikator secularist that looks down his nose at people he has never met.

I NEVER think of any kalifornikator as a conservative.

Does that statement make any sense?

Yup! Sometimes we disagree on minor details, but the over arching goals are essentially the same, and diametrically opposed to the left’s!

I appreciate the reminder on Robert’s adoption situation, I’ve often speculated if the threat of disclosure of the details and the fallout to his kids has been used as a lever to influence some of his decisions.

It’s very challenging to get to high positions in government unless TPTB think they have something on you so they can control your actions at critical times.

It is a mistake to think that the commies haven’t been a creation and cat’s paw of the wealthiest and oldest Establishment all along.

Can you translate?

Barbara Lagoa all the way, she has the likable TV presence and a community behind her to defend against false accusations. The Hispanic vote will move with this also while the female vote will not with Amy.

Still, there is a lot to be said for someone who knows, on a personal gut level, how stifling a dictatorship, especially a communist dictatorship, can be on the souls of men and women.

Nominate Biden. He will have to go through confirmation hearings and be exposed for all the shit he’s done in his life.

That's brilliant. (But will he remember it? . . .)

I prefer Barret and she has already gone through confirmation so it’s easy to make the case for fast track.

No, only retired or sitting Senators are fast tracked per Senatorial customs/courtesies/Parliamentary procedures. They could call a Jud. Comm. hearing though but don't have to.

Anyone else must go through the vetting process again, which takes a lot of time and patience.

How about clinging to God and “completely ignore” guys who claim to be middle men?

Because Christ appointed middle-men on earth to preach, heal, baptize, consecrate, and re-enact His sacrifice. He didn't promise--consider St. Peter and St. Paul--that they would all be perfect.

Broken is holy and mighty when it is healed by Christ.

Indeed, we must all pray for Francis.

“ Article makes Barret sound like a nut.”

Anne Coulter has been doing the same on Twitter.

Barrett is the one they’re expecting, the one they’ve had the most time to prepare for.

Time to throw the curve ball.

Yes I agree Lagoa is the better choice all things considered. She will help Trump win. We need as many Hispanic votes as we cam get. Trump will not get any more black votes than usual. I do worry a bit about her partnering up with the dumb Latina but we must keep in mind it is RBG being replaced. The woman was so far left you knew exactly how she would vote EVERY TIME. She was an absolute leftist radical. Lagoa may drift left a bit but no way she goes anywhere near the madness of RBG

A Lagon nomination would neuter the media, help Trump in Florida, etc.

Nominating Barrett would unleash the media Kracken, with an inundation of lurid Handmaid’s Tale propaganda, and highly motivate the Left to vote against Trump. The feminist/pro-abortion crowd would be stirred up like ant on meth. Rino “moderate” Senators would not vote to confirm, so Trump would get the downside without actually getting the nominee on the bench, then lose the election.

I think POTUS is teasing with her nomination to take the wind out of opposition to his ultimate pick.

I used to argue apologetics 15-20 years ago on the CARM board with folks like you, who cut and paste with great fervor. I remember delving into the Targums, Ancient Greek translations etc. in that effort. I can assure you that not one of those ministers ever changed my mind regarding the Catholic Church. In fact, my faith in the Church grew. I am equally certain I never changed anyone else’s mind.

I have a single exception, to what’s stated Supra. There was a Baptist minister I used to love to debate from Houston. The discussions, while scholarly, were also cordial, respectful and sincere. He left the boards for six months, returned one day and answered a question to a Protestant poster in support of the Catholic regarding the Inquisition. Aside from being shocked at his post, I asked where he had been and how much I missed our debates.

His response changed my life. The Baptist minister told me he stopped his participation on CARM because he found that it was harder to live by his faith than to argue it. He wanted to live his faith. I stopped posting on CARM from that moment or any other apologetic board. The same was true for me. It was easy and even enjoyable for me to argue all of this but living it was another matter

I could respond on the merits, regaling you with Church Fathers, the Councils, their dates etc.. It would be a waste of time for both you and me

Well I should not used the term “fast track” as it is a specific process. I just meant Mitch could say she has already gone through confirmation and call a vote.

Only God, who joins His Sacrifice to ours, has the power to fundamentally transform anything--starting with our souls--and welcome us home.
Transform to what? Whose god are you referring to exactly?

Thanks for bolstering my opposition to organized religion.
