If Trump nominates before the election, it will almost certainly be Amy.

If he waits until after the election, it could well be Ted Cruz. Also, if he waits until after the election, it will tell us that he knows he is going to win.

That would be an interesting tactic, if true. As it is, Trump probably knows he won't be able to get the nomination through in this session of Congress.
