Off the top of my head I would think Romney, Collins, and Murkowski will nix any nomination before the election. There are probably a few more Republicans who would join them.

Then kick the worthless bastards out of the party. And have them take Lindsay Graham, while they’re at it.

Trump still hasn’t mentioned it. I really wonder if he knows.

Trump should announce that he WILL NOT nominate anyone until after he is re-elected. I think this would be a big net plus in votes for him in November.

We only have 53 Republicans in the Senate. If Collins, Murkowski, and Romney oppose the nominee and no Democrats vote yes, we have a 50-50 vote, with Vice President Pence breaking the tie.

That is good in that it gets the nominee confirmed, 51-50, but how does that look in the heat of a campaign?
