One Cannot Help But Wonder: If Nashville City Leaders Would Hide Accurate COVID-19 Numbers, What Other Metros Might?
PJ Media ^ | 09/18/2020 | Stacey Lennox

Nashville is also known as Music City, the home of country music and the Grand Ole Opry. For music lovers, there is no better place to go than Broadway, where dozens of bars and restaurants have live bands playing beginning mid-morning and continuing well into the night. City leaders hid the low number of COVID-19 cases tied back to these venues, and Americans are wondering why.

Tourism is a large part of the city’s revenue. And the downtown area is a huge attraction. Yet Fox 17 in Nashville obtained e-mails that appear to expose a deliberate attempt to keep low transmission numbers in bars and restaurants from the public.

The coronavirus cases on lower Broadway may have been so low that the mayor’s office and the metro health department decided to keep it secret.

Emails between the mayor’s senior advisor and the health department reveal only a partial picture. But what they reveal is disturbing.

The discussion involves the low number of coronavirus cases emerging from bars and restaurants and how to handle that. And most disturbingly how to keep it from the public.

Weird! I thought bars and restaurants were a huge problem, and young, healthy people were supposed to stay out of them to save grandma. Apparently not in Nashville. While contact tracing as of June 30th showed clusters in nursing homes and on construction sites of over 1,000 cases each, bars and restaurants reported only twenty-two cases.

Read this Damning Section of the Emails between the health department and the mayor’s senior advisor:

Leslie Waller from the health department asks “This isn’t going to be publicly released, right? Just info for Mayor’s Office?“

“Correct, not for public consumption.” Writes senior advisor Benjamin Eagles.

The best-case scenario is at the end of June, Waller was concerned this might lead to more people going into bars and restaurants, leading to increased cases. However, rumors in the community persisted for the next month that only 80 cases were traced to bars and restaurants. The Nashville tracking shows by the end of July, the peak of new positive tests had passed.

funny things have been happening with Cali numbers, so much so that Newsom once apologized and also later a state health employee in charge of data was fired. i have never trusted numbers here - we hear about glitches, delays, etc all the time.

This points to why the citizens of this country need protections:
-No government body can dictate any restriction based on a study that cannot be duplicated.
-No government body can dictate any restriction based on a study that does not also release ALL raw data.
-No government body can dictate any restriction while withholding any information. Political position holders who do are to be charged with both criminal and civil charges and the taxpayers are not to pay.

I understand it’s the city that’s messing with the numbers, but Nashville also is the capital of TN, too. Since Gov. Lee is there, this would be the perfect window of opportunity for him to TOTALLY open up Tennessee. Revert back to 2019 living.

He’s SUPPOSED to be a conservative and he’s SUPPOSED to be a Christian. He should just do the right thing!!

“No government body can dictate any restriction while withholding any information.”

Unfortunately, it’s a case of “You don’t know what you don’t know.” It happens every day, and we’re the clueless peons who suffer from their withholding of information. The best we can hope for is for them eventually to be exposed, as these people have been.

Lee is a fraud, like Abbott is in Texas. Although the timing of this was pretty sweet. When the news was released, fatass Mayor Cooper ask that Tennessee give them a loan of $82.6 million, and Lee told him to drop dead. Not sure if it was related, but the timing is great!

I hate that we voted for Lee ... but, really, what were our choices? It’s hard to believe that in most elections you find yourself asking, “Is this the best we’ve got?”

Any legal recourse against the mayor and other city officials? Is there a political motive for the Mayor’s actions since the bar and restaurant trade association has strongly opposed his restrictions?

And I keep emailing Lee to STOP with the mask-pimping commercial we see in the morning, paid for by us TN taxpayers. It so pisses me off!!

From the article:" But what they reveal is disturbing.

unixfox :" The owners of these restaurants and bars need to get together and run this mfer out of town on a rail. "

Better yet, the restaurant and bar owners should organize and advertize that the mayors supporters are not welcome there,
and that the supporters should choose to go to another bar, or restaurant,.. preferably out-of-town !
Workers in restaurants and bars are considered 'service workers', and those loss of jobs are done to inflate the numbers of unemployed.
Workers and owners should use their power !
The lying numbers have been proven to to be all about covid and power of administrative government.

Yeah another great way to waste money. Hey Lee, how about commercials on if you get COVID, get hydroxychloquine and zinc for $20 and be over it in 4 days! Think of the economy we could have kept alive if Trump just told Fauci to F.O.!

My good friend is the point man for the COVID-19 response for a large healthcare provider here in NM.

He shared that when the numbers are not what our governor wants, she threatens their state contracts. This had led to the reporting of people who are in the hospital for, say, an auto accident being tested for COVID-19 and, if positive, they become a hospitalized COVID-19 patient. Similar thing with deaths. If a person is brought in for a gunshot wound and dies, they are tested for COVID-19 post mortem and if positive, are listed as a COVID-19 death.

Even with all the number fudging going on, the health care providers are still unable to produce enough cases and our numbers are dropping. They have been stating that their ICUs are full, but neglecting to mention that less than 10% of the patients are there for COVID-19.

They have an agenda and are pulling out all the stops to advance it.

As a Democrat support recently said to me...”Who cares if some businesses close? The owners wouldn’t vote for her anyway.”

Newsome keeps changing the parameters. Now since the numbers are declining he has changed it to number of tests. Everyone, and I mean everyone, get tested so we can bring those numbers back up!

“Think of the economy we could have kept alive if Trump just told Fauci to F.O.!”

THANK YOU. And I notice that Trump and Kayleigh still cower when the subject of masks is brought up. They act like they’re buying into the hoax of it all when they know better. Because the left considers Fauci to be “the science”, PDJT just accepts the you-don-t-wear-a-mask attacks without responding.

Well, Fauci isn’t the only person on earth who is “the science”. Why is THEIR Fauci science correct, and Dr. Atlas science not actual science? Trump needs to point that out, i.e., that there are as many scientists who are opposed to masks as there are who want the forced wearing.

I’m tired of hearing radio ads by that pr!ck Surgeon General practically screaming to “WEAR A MASK!” If I wanted to take advice from an Affirmative Action doctor, I’d have one as my PCP. I don’t!! I want to know a doctor has earned his M.D., not had it given to him because of his skin color.

Trump needs to take a stand once and for all that he is AGAINST masks except for vulnerable people, and only if they WANT to wear them. Period. If the feckless RAT governors want to say different, that’s on them. But make it clear, loudly and often, that masks and social distancing are OVER as far as he is concerned.

People who hate him now will hate him after his statement. People who support him now will continue to support him after his statement. Enough of this crap already!

End Of Rant.
