In June, the Minneapolis City Council proudly announced that it would be defunding and dismantling its police department as an unseemly institution of racism and white privilege. By July, the Minneapolis City council began to approve substantial cuts to the police. By August, nearly 20% of Minneapolis police were in the process of retiring and those who remain are tentative about policing. Crime in Minneapolis has skyrocketed. And just this week, two events occurred, one hilarious and one tragic.
The hilarious thing is that the same town council that proudly announced that it would abandon all societal norms and end policing in its community complained vigorously that the police were not doing their job by controlling crime. The tragic thing was a high school principal who, upon the occasion of a student’s murder, gave an impassioned plea for a return to normalcy, something that would include a functioning police force and open schools.
The City Council got together on Tuesday, September 16, to discuss city business. The business that most occupied them was rising crime – especially murder in their respective districts:
Three months after voting to dismantle the Minneapolis police department, city council members there spent much of a business meeting on Tuesday complaining about an uptick in violent crime across the city.Several city council members told police chief Medaria Arradondo at the meeting that their constituents were concerned about increased criminal activity.
City council members Lisa Bender, Steve Fletcher and Andrew Johnson led off the two-hour meeting with questions about the crime wave.

The stated policy of the left is the total destruction of America and the media is actively hiding it. The Democrats have decided that the key to gun control is to encourage violent crime and offer gun control as the solution, and the media is silent. The next step will be the silencing of media that is reporting the truth. Where is the tipping point?
Is there a sane person on the planet who couldn't have predicted this? If I lived there, it would take me about 2 nanoseconds to demand a recall for the entire city council.
The city council will come to two conclusions:
—Any violence is Trumps fault
—the federal government should pay for any damage.
Remember, if a few million need to be sacrificed for the cause, that is perfectly acceptable to leftists.

By their voting habits, the residents of Minneapolis prefer their city to resemble Mogadishu. They prefer death, destruction, misery, terror, and poverty over peace and prosperity.

Where was SHE when the losers in the street were allowed to make it impossible for Police to do their jobs without risk to their lives... when HER voted-in public officials were happy and eager to defund police...
WHAT did she think then about the consequences? Seriously? She wants to complain NOW and put blame the police for the disorder???? NOT
You would think Third Worlders would be able to put 2 and 2 together as to recognize the factors that turned the countries they fled into sh*tholes and vote against those same policies here, but no. "The Bell Curve" is an accurate assessment of the situation.

My only real sympathies lie with those of the population who would support the police dept. Too bad they couldn’t be in their own separate area of the city where they did support an active police force & an appropriate city council. That would make it a divided city, but I bet lessons could be learned.
