Donald Trump never ever fails to give the people who line up for many many hours to see him short shrift. He spends 1.5 hours with them. Minimum. Many times approaching 2 hours. The man has respect for their time and effort to be at his events.
President Trump just told a humorous story about how he has lost a great many friends he’s had for years. “They used to call me Don.” Now they refuse. They call me “Mr. President.” They’re so formal now. I say who the hell are you? We’ve known each other for decades. Call me Don. Yes, Mr. President!
Now, they’re distant. Intimidated. So, now the only friends I have are the congressmen in the Freedom Caucus. Great guys but, not exactly the fun-loving type. If you know what I mean.
