It is likely that he is correct as if the government of Iran (GOI) believes that all the changes and alliances are focused in them then GOI might attack first.
However, this line of thought may be the new mantra of the left to be a attack topic as an alternative to peace deals popping up in the Middle East. It will play better in the “Democratic Underground” web sites and the salons of DC of as a feel good foil.

Juan is right, if the Mullahs aren't overthrown, there likely will be a war in the region. Triggered by Israel's refusal to allow Iran to posess deliverable nuclear weapons, and supported by Israel's new allies. Certainly Obama's financial and political support for the world's greatest terror producing state is central to what's happening in the region, but the dems can always blame it on GWB's refusal to give Israel a green light to destroy Iran's nuclear program, as they did with Iraq and Syria. It's always Republican's fault.
