They have left Portland to gather in DC for the 50-Day Whitehouse Seige.
They want the thugs to stop and get rested up/recharged for after the Nov.3rd TRUMP victory.
That's my guess as well - all-hands redeployment to DC. There will be a lot of vehicles with no license plates about if Kenosha is any indication (stoutly denied in the MSM, of course). I do think it's an indication that the people behind the thing have concluded that it's helping Trump, but the DC "siege" isn't to influence the election, it's to show people what's going to happen afterward.
If the riots stop, then anti-Antifa, anti-BLM sentiment will drop. Suburban women will say “I’m voting for Biden. All that stuff settled down and I can’t even remember it clearly now.” Some soft-spoken BLM woman will be on The View and sound convincingly moderate. “All those delusional right wing website fools don’t believe I exist. But I do.”(Big cheers and laughs from crowd).

Unfortunately it also signals what we have always known; which is within the Dims networks extending from within to beyond the official party, THEY can get the “protests” turned off and on, to serve their interests.
Also, some of the “protesters” want to go occupy Washington D.C. in the “Siege of Washington” campaign - the mass of Dim shock troops to end the Biden campaign till election day.
And the next logical step among the rural area dwellers is to simply shoot anyone wandering around carrying a gas can dressed in black. And then see if anyone shows up to check on the stiff or call the local sheriff. A lot of accidents can happen when people that don’t live in an area show up there without a good understanding of what actually is involved with varmint control or putting food on a table...
