Scientific American has never endorsed a presidential candidate in its 175-year history. This year we are compelled to do so. We do not do this lightly.
The evidence and the science show that Donald Trump has badly damaged the U.S. and its peoplebecause he rejects evidence and science. The most devastating example is his dishonest and inept response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which cost more than 190,000 Americans their lives by the middle of September.

I had a subscription for over 20 years, but dropped it several years ago because I thought they were too political. Wow! The only sad thing is, I now I don’t have a subscription to cancel!
It should be renamed “Commie Pseudo-Scientists of America”. Stopped subscribing decades ago because it was all liberal, all the time. Praising Biden over Trump for a response to COVID is as delusional as pretending transgendered are sane.
And I agree. If THEIR income had been reduced to zero, if THEIR homes were in danger of being lost, they’d have a very different outlook.
Or maybe not. Delusions as strong as the ones sweeping America are either mass insanity or demonic activity.
I quit Scientific American way back when they fired Forrest Mimms for being a Christian. That was over 20 years ago.
Just shows you what money can buy and cowardice to look events in the eye from the a community that perpetuates the hoax of climate change as “dire.” They couldn’t get the science right on a two month prediction of covid and they expect us to believe their dire prognosis on climate change is right 10 years from now. Hubris. They are stupid to think we are so stupid. And endorsing Biden even makes them look stupider.
One of Scientific American’s goals is the protection all forms of birds and politicians with birdbrains.
Of course they ‘endorse’ the idiot. Professors all have a needle in their arm called, “NSF grant*GOV’T funding”.
Annually-BILLIONS in taxpayers’ revenue is hijacked so these ‘researcher’ prima donnas can subvert American education, the economy, US politics, etc. They have made gods out of themselves.
They nauseate me!
Sad that CNN has brainwashed so many elites.
Nah...it "went political" far earlier than THAT, when it jumped on the eco-freak/antinuclear bandwagon. I quit getting it in the early 1980's.
Perhaps some of the enterprising editors at SA thought that Biden would somehow support science. This is foolish, because Biden is rapidly declining in mental cognitive ability, and science is the least of his worries, or abilities. The only thing remaining that Biden might contribute would be his brain for dissection and study.
So the leftists at SA have endorsed a C student with dementia to be POTUS. A man who probably thinks the periodic table is a piece of furniture.
Your comment was rather Nathan Hale-ey. ;-)
These SCIENCE guys all fear that they won’t get future government research grants funded...in a Trump 2nd term...
How about $3M to study the sex life of the snail darter...???
There is an incredible amount of waste in government research funding...and, much of it is political...bartering tools for ambitious politicos...
The whole system is corrupt with the NIH, CDC, USDA, FDA, etc...stocked full of greedy bureaucrats...like Dr. Faucxi...
WE THE PEOPLE, as the US NIH, even likely funded the development of Covid-19 and other bio-weapon pathogens at the Wuhan Institute...off-shored US government money, funneled through a US holding company...
Believe it, or not...
“A man who probably thinks the periodic table is a piece of furniture.”

Kudos to that one...me likey!
Does SA receive any federal money ?
I dumped that rag a long time ago. Aren’t they just scienterrific now? Effing degenerates.
Scientific American...is neither!
So a magazine owned by “Holtzbrinck Publishing Group” a German Company is endorsing Biden for president? That really makes sense.
Science is a branch of philosophy that seeks to validate subjective observation by the use of testing. It is NOT “every word that proceeds from the mouth of a scientist.”
