What we CANNOT as of now, give credibility to, is her accusation that it was deliberately engineered as a bioweapon. I still find this notion that they would deliberately do it to be incredible.
I am still open to the theoretical possibility that an accidental leak happened. There are other prominent scientists who still believe this and I am not going to close the door to that possibility.

Not according to Dr. Li-Meng Yan.....She states emphatically that the virus’ genome displays characteristics that make it impossible to be naturally occurring but was rather was, intentially engineered.

I’m with you on that. It’s also possible that it originated naturally, but was *deliberately* released from a lab. In either case, in any case, after it was clear that a highly infectious disease was spreading, the CCP’s management of the situation was atrocious and irresponsible.
If the initial release of this bioweapon was accidental, a logical military and political response by China would have been a global spread so that China alone did not suffer the results. That explains the Chinese restrictions on internal....but not international...travel.
An accidental leak much earlier than reported - followed by a deliberate spread to the West to make sure China didn't go down alone. And Trump knows it. He has made oblique references to it several times, but the MSM seems to think he is just talking about China being careless.

I agree. It’s hard for me to imagine that the Chicoms would be so reckless as to wage biological warfare literally on the rest of the world. Were that charge ever to be proved, then the rest of the world would have to declare war and wage that war until the PRC is dead and gone forever. While I don’t exclude an accidental release, I feel that intent is far-fetched at this point. The Chicoms have an enormous stake in the international system. Are they really willing to risk all of that just to prevent Trump from getting elected or whatever? If they are then the world is a much, much more dangerous place than I imagine.
