I think it's actually good strategy on Trump's part. ABC, like it or not, has people who watch it. Trump knew what he was getting into and would never get a fair shake, so he throws out the gauntlet for Biden. If he tweeted something like, "Your turn" to Biden, he wins because there's no way Biden could do what Trump did even if the questions were fed to Biden in advance.

Plus he's reaching a demographic ("where else am I going to get my news since I don't use the internet?" demographic) that he'll never get with Fox. By the way, my father in law - a strong conservative - used that same quote for the reason he watches the network news. They exist and they vote.
