If you think liberals were upset when Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016, just wait until you see what happens if he also beats Joe Biden, according to The Atlantic.
The progressive publication warned readers on Sunday that Democrats might not be able to concede if President Trump wins reelection, especially if he loses the popular vote but gets to remain in the White House. Atlantic contributing writer Shadi Hamid wrote that he doesnt believe Trump is a fascist or a dictator in the making and doesnt consider America a failed state, but he does have one significant concern.
I find myself truly worried about only one scenario: that Trump will win reelection and Democrats and others on the left will be unwilling, even unable, to accept the result, Hamid wrote before warning that liberals could take to the streets if Trump wins.
A loss by Joe Biden under these circumstances is the worst case not because Trump will destroy America (he cant), but because it is the outcome most likely to undermine faith in democracy, resulting in more of the social unrest and street battles that cities including Portland, Oregon, and Seattle have seen in recent months, Hamid added.
Many American cities have been overwhelmed with sometimes violent demonstrations since the Memorial Day death of George Floyd in police custody. Now, The Atlantics contributing writer says Republicans should root for a Biden victory to avoid more chaos.
For this reason, strictly law-and-order Republicans who have responded in dismay to scenes of rioting and looting have an interest in Biden winningeven if they could never bring themselves to vote for him, Hamid wrote.
Trump 2020 deputy communications director Matt Wolking saw the column and wrote, Theyre not even hiding it anymore.

The Rats didn’t accept the 2016 results. Expect more of the same.
Bring it, Brian. I guarantee you wont like the outcome.
Not one little bit.

Noice country ya gotz heah. Shame if anyting happened to it...
I don't know what SCOTUS would do about it.
It has to go to the Electoral College first. SCOTUS would say that the state legislatures already have the remedy power to intercede and select their Electors, no matter what happens with voting chaos. Electoral College rules allow for absent states.
SCOTUS will not select the winner. The state legislatures will.

The author has already deleted the tweet because he was getting wrecked on Twitter.
Bring it.
Yup.
Here is a little thought that is not original to me;
1) Trump Wins Big and Convincingly! Results: Democrats challenge everywhere, delay and doubt, but concede by Inauguration Day. Riots, Arson and Destruction continue.
2) No one clearly wins! Results: Democrats challenge everywhere, delay and doubt, but Supreme Court rules or House picks by Inauguration Day. Riots, Arson and Destruction continue.
3) Biden Wins Big and Convincingly! Results: Republicans accept the mandate, Trump moves out causing massive faints for Democrats, normal Inauguration Day. Riots, Arson and Destruction continue.
Note that “Riots, Arson and Destruction” comes from people seeking a government that they control and that is neither Trump or Biden. They think that this is their way to power and no one is stopping them YET! If Biden is President, does ANYONE THINK THE RIOTS WILL STOP?
So, ignore the pundits and vote TRUMP! Same riot outcome no matter what for the nonce!
We’ve only had four years to prepare for this. Many did.
The first ones to go in a general killing need to be the MSM.
And next should be the...
Also, the Federal courts could, unless I'm mistaken, step in if they detect that any voters' 14th Amendndment rights are being violated by a particular jurisdiction's policies regarding the count and/or recounts.
There can be no doubt that Rat Party Headquarters is planning massive chaos in November...and possibly December.ILLary telegraphed that by proclaiming that Plugs should not concede under any circumstances.
The Rats are planning scorched earth in the days and weeks after 11/3.
The day after the election and Trump wins he issues the orders for the insurrection act.
Then the military chiefs refuse to follow those orders.
Then all hell breaks out. Troops refuse to follow orders by the military elite brass and the general killing begins.
Trump will win..BIG.
Might not? Where has he been the past 3-plus years? It’s guaranteed that The Left will not accept a second Trump victory.
The Wild Card is just how much more of this Democrat-led temper tantrum sane Americans are going to tolerate.
IIRR..all the SCOTUS did was issue the ruling that IF Florida could recount the entire state, then every state should recount. In short, they asked the FL Supreme court how they could reach that ruling.
It boiled down the equal protection.
BTW..the chief justice of the FL supreme court issued a stark warning in his opinion against the FL supreme court ruling (majority) that their ruling would fail and violated the constitution of the USA.
The FL supreme court rescinded their ruling as a result, and that was the end of that.
It set the GW Bush administration back 6 months. I never liked the Bush clan, but the alternative was FAAAARRR worse. So I voted for the guy.
The reason they do not like the Donald is because he aint one of them. He wont allow for the kickbacks, bribes and fraud. He has exposed the whole GD slimy bastardley works. They make the Mafia look like an Old womens ice cream social.
No, this is not going to run out the clock to get Nancy Pelosi in office. That will be viewed as illegitimate and POTUS will be able to throw their asses in jail if they refuse to do their duty as elected officials.
If Trump doesnt win in a landslide, theyll do it and theyll win in the end. The Left has no soul, they will escalate the violence. The Republican leadership will fail to back Trump if it gets messy, and it will. As it drags out, ballots will be mysteriously found in car trunks and closets and added to Bidens tally. Lawsuits will be filed. It will be 2000 all over again except with daily violence added to the mix. Then the insidious talk of Trump needing to do whats best for the country will begin. Never Trumpers will come out of the woodwork sounding like the voice of reason and unity. There will be international pressure as well. The public will quickly lose its stomach for the turmoil and will just want it to end. The swamp is not drained enough for him to withstand what will cone. When Trumps ultimately forced to step aside, youll sit right there and watch him do it, youll watch your country get stolen from you, right before your eyes, and not one shot will be fired in her defense. All this talk about how the right has the guns and the veterans, its all internet tough guy talk. No one will come to the countrys defense. No one is doing so now. We have anarchy in our cities and no one lifts a finger. We lack the courage, the tenacity, the principles, and the moral clarity of our forefathers. Were fat, lazy, and comfortable. Were soft. If its not a landslide, were doomed. I hope Im wrong. I pray Im wrong. But I dont think Im wrong.
Yup. Gonna happen, prepare now.
SCOTUS didn't rule on the Electoral College. They ruled that the state Supreme Court violated the 14th amendment equal protection clause by approving cherry-picking only three counties for recount. SCOTUS said it denied the voters of the other counties their right to have their votes recounted, too. SCOTUS said the whole state had to be recounted.
The issue here is that the whole state plans to be counted, but with the delays in receiving ballots and having to count them manually, they may miss the deadline to certify the elections and miss sending their Electors to the Electoral College.
That's a wholly different matter, and one that is easily remedies by the state legislature using their Article II power to appoint their Electors if the vote can't be certified in time.
The Democrats will argue that the Electoral College vote is illegitimate if some states can't participate. Republicans will argue that the Electoral College already has a mechanism for that, in that a majority of appointed Electors is necessary to win, not a majority of a full Electoral College. States that don't participate simply reduce the number to reach a majority.
And SCOTUS should conclude that the states that don't participate in the Electoral College do it of their own choice, because Article II gives the states the power to choose the method of selecting Electors. In Florida, the legislature was ready to convene and vote on an emergency slate of Electors if the recounts couldn't be completed in time. Any Democrat state that claims that counting mail-in ballots in the time allotted is too much of a burden can simply have their legislatures meet to select their Electors directly.

Not states, counties.
Florida only wanted to recount Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach, which were dominant Gore states. SCOTUS said they had to recount the entire state.
Nobody said that if one state recounts, then all states must recount.
Now that you mentioned that, it does bring up an interesting future case. If it should come to be that the National Popular Vote compact passes and all states in the compact award their Electoral Votes to the winner of the national popular vote, the SCOTUS ruling could be interpreted to say that if any state in the compact recounts, then all states in the compact must recount.

The democrat wing of the CPUSA is trying to get you ready for riots when trump wins bigly
