Protesters poured onto the streets of Lancaster, Pennsylvania Sunday night calling for justice for a man shot dead by police while charging at an officer with a knife.
Body camera footage showed Ricardo Munoz, 27, brandishing a knife and wielding it over an officers head as cops responded to a domestic disturbance around 4:15 p.m.
The blade-wielding Lancaster, Pennsylvania, man shot dead by police was previously busted in 2019 for knifing four people in the city, according to his lawyer and officials.
It was not the first time hes been accused of a knife attack.
Protesters marched from the scene of the deadly shooting on Laurel and Union streets to the Lancaster Police Department about a mile away, hurling bricks, smashing windows and vandalizing police cars.
After the crowd gathered on an access ramp near the station, police asked them to move, issuing several warnings that chemical munitions would be used, PennLive.com reported.
OC spray, or pepper spray, was eventually deployed when the mob refused to move, police said, adding that some were physically challenging officers that were moving to clear people from the ramp.
Bricks were thrown through the front of the police station and post office, police said.
Cops received a 911 call to a home on the 300 block of Laurel Street in downtown Lancaster Sunday afternoon, with the caller saying her brother was getting aggressive with his mother and trying to break into her house, police said in a release.
Body cam footage, taken from the first officer on scene, captured the seconds leading up to the fatal shooting.
The video shows the officer initially making contact with a woman at the home as Munoz suddenly bursts through the front door, charging at the officer with a knife in his right hand, police said.

Good shoot. And believe me, I have criticized plenty of shoots, but not this one.
Yes, that is what the rioters think. There is no justification for arresting any “person of color” for any reason.
Apparently, any police altercation with a “person of color”, regardless of circumstances and details of the altercation, are an excuse/reason to go start a riot. They riot first, and ask about the details later.
Can someone out there fill me in on Lancaster?
Crime? Little crime? Lots of Urban Amish? Very few Urban Amish?
I guess I always kinda thought Lancaster was in Pennsylvania Dutch area and therefore pretty calm.
The blade-wielding Lancaster, Pennsylvania, man

That may be where he lives currently, but where is really from and is he here legally?
We should deport ALL illegal aliens and not give them the opportunity to harm or kill Americans before they are removed.
A tree fell in the forest. Rioters, who were looking for a reason to riot, rioted.
That’s about the level of justification one can expect nowadays.
If they had sent a social worker with a clip board......
Civilization thanks the police. Good shooting, officer.
Police shoot unarmed black man armed with a knife!?
Ricardo Munoz, I don’t think he is a Pennsylvania native.
Social workers can't even keep track of kids in foster homes, and they want to send them to handle this stuff.
YES
These are the a-holes/psychopaths that the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. are bending over for....
‘I guess I always kinda thought Lancaster was in Pennsylvania Dutch area and therefore pretty calm.’
the southern end of Lancaster city is an armpit, south Queen Street in particular, and becoming more so with every passing day; that said, compared to Harrisburg or Reading, or even York, somewhat safer...the county itself is really comprised of two separate cultures; the northern section, from Millerville to points north, is quite affluent, and striving to become the retirement capital of the world (one of these damned retirement villages was built right next to my property) and is turning bluer as transplants from the Northeast move in...the southern section is still quite rural and underdeveloped; the towns of Quarryville and Pequea, gritty and unsightly, typify the lesser prosperity of the area...
I heard (and could be wrong) that would was spread over social media that is was an autistic person that was shot and that misinformation (FAKENEWS) is what lead to the major protests...........then is came out that it was a man with a knife
Anybody who’s ever been attacked by a knife, you want to shoot them before they get too close to you.
