The Pacific Northwest is covered in smoke. There are fires burning in California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Instead of addressing how and why we got to this place where wildfires are far more common than note politicians like California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee (D) are quick to blame the phenomenon on "climate change." Instead of talking about how the states fail to properly manage the forest by thinning out trees, cutting down dead trees and prescribing controlled burns, they instantly jump to the climate change narrative.
In fact, Inslee sees this as a climate change issue so much that he believes we should rename wildfires to "climate fires."

I would like to announce the formation of the Coalition to End Climate Change. That’s it. If change is bad, then we eliminate change. Problem solved. No diurnal variation, no annual variation, no decennial variation, no centennial variation, no millennial variation, no variation across eras and epochs - just the same environmental conditions 24x7, forever! C’mon man! Everybody get happy!

The democrats running these three states dont worry about losing an election, the democrats has bastardized the election systems so they cant lose. Recalls wont work because the states Secretaries lie to the public saying not enough signatures were collected. Its all rigged!!
Progressive fires; Democrat fires.
Funny how climate change seems to stop at the Canadian border.
Ah, you beat me to it. Happy you are all safe up there from the dreaded Climate Change fires!
Hi.
IMHO, these governors in blue states are not stupid, uninformed or incompetent. They are just pure evil.

Im most definitely not a fan of the federal government getting involved in things that should be a state issue but I have to wonder about all this.
When someone sends a picture of an unclothed minor over their cell phone then the FBI shows up claiming that since it went out on the internet it has crossed state lines and is therefor a federal crime.
When that gun company in Montana(?) was going to produce guns “for use in Montana only” then the ATF and others were still involved since “not all the components were made in Montana, those components had crossed state lines.”
If I commit arson in Washington and the fire crosses state lines into Idaho or Oregon, havent I committed a crime that has crossed state lines? If you and I were to agree to burn down the West coast and the next day I went and set a fire in Washington then you went and set fires in Oregon then you and I are involved in a conspiracy to commit crimes across a border making this a federal issue under the same line of thought.
Couldnt Trump then refuse disaster funds to all the states on the Arson Coast due to those states failures in the past to handle their own business then give the emergency funds to Forest/USDA/Fish and Wildlife (whoever has most jurisdiction for that area) and correct the problem by cleaning out forests/cutting breaks.
When your local LEs bust a meth lab they haul off the chemists but then someone has to come back and clean up the mess. They arent cleaning ladies but its their crime scene so they have to protect the community by getting the right team out there.
Once the crime of arson (along with the other charges appropriate for whatever degree of death and destruction) crosses state lines and falls into the enforcement jurisdiction of one of these other departments then isnt it their mess to clean up and wouldnt we have to cut the state out and fund these departments to clean up the mess?
I’m surprised they aren’t calling them Trump Fires.
Hi.
“Im surprised they arent calling them Trump Fires.”
Give the corrupt corporate media two more news cycles and it will be Trump’s fault.

The mantra of all these Democrats whose cities are in the trash barrel: “Ain’t my fault Ain’t my fault Ain’t my fault”
Silly. It most likely is since PDJT has “gutted” the epa. :-)
She comes down from Yellow Mountain
On a dark, flat land she rides
On a pony she named Wildfire
With a whirlwind by her side
On a cold Nebraska night
Oh, they say she died one winter
When there came a killing frost
And the pony she named Wildfire
Busted down its stall
In a blizzard, he was lost
She ran calling Wildfire
She ran calling Wildfire
She ran calling Wildfire
By the dark of the moon, I planted
But there came an early snow
Been a hoot-owl howling outside my window now
‘Bout six nights in a row
She’s coming for me, I know
And on Wildfire we’re both gonna go
We’ll be ridin’ Wildfire
We’ll be ridin’ Wildfire
We’ll be ridin’ Wildfire
On Wildfire we’re gonna ride
We’re gonna leave sodbustin’ behind
Get these hard times right on out of our minds
Riding Wildfire
LOL!
I am here and will most certainly vote for Culp.
These idiots need to put the fires out now and make their stock stupid statements later.
Good song.

I practice medicine in a North Idaho town that has a long, colorful history in the timber industry. Many of my patients are loggers. They joke that the North Idaho forests are known as “asbestos forests” in the industry. They take fire safety seriously and everybody - state, federal and private - works together to manage the forests properly. We have a few spotty fires but none of the giant conflagrations like in the libtard coastal states. This is how it should be.
