However, I have yet to see somebody refute the argument pointing out that the other Scandinavian countries -— Norway, Finland, Denmark and even Iceland have MUCH LOWER deaths per 100,000 than Sweden has. These countries ALL had stringent lock downs.

The Swedes have never backed away from their policy. They absolutely did it right. Over 70% of their deaths were in nursing homes before they got it under control. Their death rate was significantly less than Spain, UK & Italy — all of which had massive lockdowns. Their death rate was also clearly less than NY, CA, CT by orders of magnitude, and those places are still locked down for the most part.
Lockdowns are not the answer!
