The nineteenth named storm of the busy 2020 Atlantic Hurricane season developed off the southern Florida peninsula. The storm track forecast carries Sally across the southern FL peninsula into the Gulf of Mexico.

Not exactly fun and games here on Navarre Beach, Fl. Lots of wind, rain and surf.
Yeah, thats the danger with this one. Just a slow grinding away at the coast. Surf x Time.
Why would you stay on a barrier island during a hurricane?
((((Hugs)))) What a worry. You and All will be in my prayers. Please keep us updated.
PS Your place sounds Beautiful.
Watching the radar spin around without going anywhere is torture for everyone who is hunkered down.
Tell me.
Wind and rain getting stronger, gusts...I pray that I don't lose electrical power.
What are hot towers?
Thunderstorms that poke out above the central dense overcase or eyewall. In the final frame of post 267, you can see one to the NE of the center and another, smaller one to the south of the center. They often are an indication that the storm is intensifying.
The pickers in the fields around here have been going full speed since Saturday trying to get in as much as possible before they get flooded out later this week.
Looks like a pot of potato soup bubbling on the stove.
Hi Blam,you take care ((((Hugs)))).

How bad was the last storm when you lost electricity? Do you have enough fuel to get through a day or two if needed? Ice chest to hold items for two days to keep the refrigerator door closed?
I had my big generator converted to propane. I have enough propane for a month of running. Propane doesn’t go bad like gasoline. I should have done a better job prepping for this storm, my generator is out of the shed but not useable as it sits. (I have to make connections, etc) I was sure the storm would go well west of me...my mistake.
For now, just take advantage of one hot meal and hot cup of coffee at a time. Godspeed. We're here for you. If you want me to sing "Windy," I can do that too. :o)
One of my old favorites.
