President Donald Trump’s campaign says, despite conflicting comments, the President will be holding rallies in Nevada this weekend.
Pres. Trump’s campaign had planned a rally in Reno on Saturday and a rally in Las Vegas Sunday, Sept, 13, at a McCarran International Airport hanger.
Adam Laxalt, co-chair of the Donald Trump presidential campaign in Nevada and former Nevada attorney general, tweeted the events had been “canceled” and felt the move was “unprecedented” considering how close voters are to the presidential election.
The Trump campaign released the following statement regarding its Nevada events:
“Democrats are trying to keep President Trump from speaking to voters because they know the enthusiasm behind his re-election campaign cannot be matched by Joe Biden – a historically weak candidate controlled by the radical left who could hold a campaign event in a broom closet. The President’s uplifting message of American greatness resonates with people, while everyone knows that Biden is a tool of the radical left who would raise taxes and tank the incredible comeback that is already underway. President Trump will be traveling to Nevada on the dates planned. Additional details will be announced soon.”
The Nevada Democratic Party also weighed in on the news.
“The fact that Donald Trump was even considering holding these unsafe events in the midst of a global pandemic is just the latest example of his poor judgment and complete disregard for Nevadans’ public health and safety. The state is currently reeling from a pandemic exacerbated by Trump’s disastrous coronavirus response. Limitations on in-person gatherings in Nevada were established to fill the void in leadership created by Trump. Thanks to emergency directives implemented by state leadership, great progress has been made in controlling deadly outbreaks. Trump is only the victim of his own incompetence.”

Biden is doing the SAME exact thing Hillary did in 2016, rarely giving interviews, rarely holding rallies. Matter of fact Biden hasn’t held any rallies, right? Hopefully this means we will have the same outcome.

My wife and I were planning to attend the rally. Gov. Sisolak put a stop to it as he doesn’t want President Trump campaigning in Nevada. It can definitely go red. Our state is open and the casinos in Reno are full. That’s right full and indoors. But u have to remember that Sisolak does what Newsome tells him to do and Newsome does only what Aunt Nancy P. tells him to do.
Unprecedented to campaign close to an election? WTF? No one’s stopping Biden from campaigning around the country.
Political free speech can not be constitutionally prevented.

Some of the signs at the Trump rallies do say “Peaceful Protest.”
