Durham aide resigns from Russia probe amid concerns over pressure from Barr: report

A top aide to U.S. Attorney John Durham has reportedly resigned from the Justice Department’s probe into the origins of the Russia investigation amid worries over political pressure from Attorney General Bill Barr.

Federal prosecutor Nora Dannehy, who has worked with Durham for decades, resigned Thursday evening, sources told the Hartford Courant in a story published Friday. Her resignation email did not include mention of political pressure.

Dannehy, whom sources told the Courant is not a supporter of President Trump, was reportedly conflicted between politics and loyalty to Durham, a longtime colleague. The career prosecutor has led high-profile investigations into leaders such as former Connecticut Gov. John G. Rowland (R).

This was a fake investigation anyway. They’re just stalling and hoping Trump loses so the Dems can end the investigation.

I call BS, another interpretation is that her work is done.....and that she stayed on longer than originally committed to see things to the end.......

She’s 59, born in CT...Connecticut is a very BLUE state...

She’s a Harvard grad...not much other bio background on her...

Job history is a bit sketchy, but it looks like she has worked with Durham previously...

Her leaving could be due to many things...health, family, or her job is completed?

Of course, she must know a lot about the investigation...maybe she got caught in a leak?

It will all come out...it almost always does...

uhh....Barr is your BOSS. Most of us generally get pressure from our boss from time to time.

The article says that she made no mention of being under pressure from Barr.

It was the headline writer who implied that she was under pressure from Barr.

What the? How can we have so many people working in Federal bureaucracies that cannot do their jobs, that is serve the American People, due to their blatant partisanship and why are they always Democrats?

I’m being somewhat facetious. Of course bureaucrats are Democrats. The Democrats are dedicated to centralized control of the government, the economy, social life, ... everything and anything that empowers bureaucrats.

Her resignation email did not include mention of political pressure.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was asked to leave. This is a little too on-the-nose, a Democrat "investigator" claiming that there is political pressure from the Republican AG. Very predictable.

Maybe the more appropriate question is, why do so few conservatives want to get involved in Federal bureaucracies?

I bet she was stalling on any leads involving DemocRATS. Or delaying action until after the election. Or both. Glad she got the boot.

Durham has done what Mueller did - hire never-Trumpers and deep staters as his aides.

Don’t expect much from Durham.

Durham probably told her to finish up her part of the work and get an indictment, NOW! She didn’t want to do the job she was hired to do.

The corruption in the DOJ is rampant. It is in dire need of an enema.
