I don’t get it either. People can be whatever gender they want, or no gender or several genders at the same time. Why can’t they be whatever race they want to be? I don’t understand the rules, I guess.

Not kidding-I see it as one of their weapons, they change the language and symbology to suit their needs, often without warning, and usually for specific purposes.
For example, the left changes what is acceptable to describe someone with melanin content from Negro, to Black, to African American, back to Black. It is something they use as an ideological cudgel to keep people off balance and constantly trying to “keep up” and not offend.
Homosexual, to Gay, to what? 78 different species of parrot with the entire LGBQTZXN whatever.
Homosexual is a completely descriptive and reasonable term in the same way Heterosexual is. But they don’t want people to use the term because they don’t like it.
Call it what you will, it does not change the underlying thing, it is only changing the name, and to them, that has value.
To me, it doesn’t.
