Anyone with a reasonably open mind could see that this was a hit job. The use of anonymous sources, an out of character alleged comment and a rabidly anti-Trump instigator all add up to total BS on this.

The question is how did this even get legs to begin with?

So...

The President that disappeared and suddenly turned up in Afghanistan to serve troops Thanksgiving dinner didn’t visit a WWI cemetery because he thought WW1 soldlers were losers and suckers?

I think not.

Yesterday’s News.

Today POTUS Trump lied about the seriousness of the Kung Flu and enjoyed watching American’s die from it.

Tomorrow they will say his Evil TRUMP Corp. Kidnapped Chemists at the secret Island Base had a Cure last December but he wanted to build up demand for it before he started selling it.

Cue the Evil Character Comic Book Movie music in 3, 2, 1...

The Atlantic article begins with this:

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day.
My guess is that this was all started by David Frum. He's on record making that same crack in 2018.

Look at this FR article from 2018, Fox News: Trump takes heat over scrapped trip to cemetery in France:

David Frum, a speechwriter for former President George W. Bush, took to Twitter to slam the move, insisting that other transportation accommodations could’ve been made in case of poor weather.

“It's not even 60 miles from central Paris to the monument. If the weather is too wet & windy for helicopters, a presidential motorcade could drive the distance in an hour,” Frum tweeted. “On site, presidential advance could easily erect a tent to protect the dignitaries (and the presidential hair-do) from inclement weather.”

There is no record of President Trump worrying about his hair, but there is a record of Frum joking about it at the time.

I'm calling out Frum as the source of this hair comment that is behind The Atlantic article.

Someone pointed out all of Goldberg’s allusions to the Godfather movies he is obsessed with in much of his writing. He is frustrated that he wasn’t a made guy, but loves to use the lingo.

If Goldberg wants to save what little remains of his 'integrity' he should name the anonymous source(s).

Of course, since he probably made it up, he can't do that.
