Washington and Lee University is coming under scrutiny for offering a course on How to Overthrow the State, though the schools president says the course has been sensationalized by the media.
Officially titled Writing Seminar for First-Years, the course places students at the head of a popular revolutionary movement aiming to overthrow a sitting government and forge a better society.
"How will you attain power? How will you communicate with the masses? How do you plan on improving the lives of the people? How will you deal with the past?" the description states. "From Frantz Fanon to Che Guevara to Mohandas Gandhi and others, we explore examples of revolutionary thought and action from across the Global South, reads the course description on WLUs website.

What does global south mean? Is it detrimental? Is it a dig? Does it mean EVERYONE in the south has been caste in this narrative?
OMG!!
The Prez has a lot of ‘cleaning’ up to do in his second term.
It is time for us to overthrow the college anarchists.
How is he going to go about “cleaning up” private colleges?
and trust me they will stay open even if they lose out on federal funds. Which Democrats and a lot of Republicans wouldn’t withhold anyway
The students should overthrow the administration of their College.
Heres the course description from the school

How will you communicate with the masses? How do you plan on improving the lives of the people? How will you deal with the past? From Frantz Fanon to Che Guevara to Mohandas Gandhi and others, we explore examples of revolutionary thought and action from across the Global South. Students engage these texts by participating in a variety of writing exercises, such as producing a Manifesto, drafting a white paper that critically analyzes a particular issue, and writing a persuasive essay on rewriting history and confronting memory. I believe very few private universities would be able to survive without federal funds - either direct through research grants, or indirect through student loans.
and writing a persuasive essay on rewriting history and confronting memory.

Should be required course before taking Marxism 101
Global south refers to South America, parts of Asia, Africa, etc.
Typically used as a catch-all reference to describe poor developing countries.
I pray that he wins, I was just talking about this last night on Freep, how Trump HAS to defund these colleges because without question it is doing tremendous damage to this country more than anything else. All these indoctrinated grads go on and infest everything besides education, from the private sector, to tech to the media to politics. It may be too late though. If Biden wins, it’s all over, they’ll be no stopping it short of having another Civil war.
I see that this course ignores studying the American Revolution which,if I recall, had a rather successful outcome......
Chicoms?
So you are forging little Nazis are you? In case you forget it, our revolutionary movement did not aim at "forging a better society." It aimed at creating a representative government so that a voting public could choose the people who would determine their laws and provide the things that a limited government is put in place to provide.
Obviously these so-called professors never even passed a grade-school level course in American history.
American Revolution ... too far north. The “Global South” is leftist dog whistle for nonwhite. Lexington VA, another place ruined by the left.
The professor is Robert Matthew Gildner. He did his dissertation on the revolution of Bolivia in the 50s.

"Don't send my boy to Harvard,
the dying mother said.
"Don't send my boy to Syracuse,
I'd rather see him dead.
But send my boy to Princeton,
or better yet Cornell;
But as for Penn-syl-vay-nigh-ay:
I'd see him first in HeXX!"

Moral of the story, send your child not to any of these schools that have become bastions of socialism, but to a Christian college that still manages to help a teenager move into responsible moral adulthood and a productive life of a citizenship that deliberately and with great care produces more faithful offspring like them.
