I don’t know, but check your home owner’s insurance policy. It should describe what the classification entails.

“We voted ourselves back into the dark ages.”

And sued yourself back into the dark ages.

PG&E can’t risk another lawsuit over a forest fire.

Yep, widespread PSPS outages have started (about an hour ago or so)...(the purple triangles are intentional outages):

Does a home’s fire insurance cover damage from a riot?

That was the most hilarious video that I’ve seen in a long ago. I was in tears when I first watched it.

It’s amazing how many people have added particular songs to the hilarity. “Footloose”, “Billie Jean”, :”Yakety Sax” and “Ring of Fire” are just a few. The Portland Burning Man’s Fire Dance is even funnier when set to music.

Good news story of the day. Leftist democrat voters getting the government they deserve, good and hard. I won’t even travel to that state and I am not sure why any conservative has not moved to Wyoming or Oklahoma by now.

“Whenever this happens the governor’s mansion should also be without power. This is not because of an emergency or disaster it is from gross incompetence.”

I suspect the important people and the important buildings will all crank up gas generators and the occupants will luxuriate in air-conditioned comfort. Sacrificing to save the environment is for the “little” people. (You probably can’t buy tar or feathers anymore. And, all the important people have armed security, which protects them from the anger they cause.)

As Victor Hansen says, “the elite liberals are isolated from the conditions their policies create.”

I will admit that I’m not up to speed, but did they lose transmission lines or have to take stations offline due to the fires?

That is true, but California has been short 4,000 to 5,000 MW in this near wave. The shortage is a result of permanently shutting down (early retirement) of both nuclear plants and natural gas power plants.

And you can avoid setting the forests on fire by doing proper tree trimming and forest management.

The entire fuster cluck is caused by Dems.
* forcing utilities to focus on expensive “green” energy
* cutting tree trimming budgets to support “green”
* stopping the importation of out of state coal power
* shutting down nuke and NG plants long before the end of their economic lives
* not building new, reliable conventional power plants
* deregulation of the power generation business
* utility companies now run by lawyers, no longer by engineers

So californicate needs to design and build a genny that is powered by forest fires. Problem solved.

There again, check your policy. It’s always good to review it from time to time and check with your agent if you have questions about the wording.
