Those poor civil war guys. What agony they must have gone through. Early on in my head injury I used to go to the hospital with very bad headaches for a morphine drip and even they wouldn’t last very long once I left.

I have read that if the drug is available for a relatively low price, an opiod addict can live a relatively normal, productive life.
We did not have much money when I was a kid and my Mom would shop at the "Day Old Bakery". To this day, I do not like fresh bread. I like it a bit stale. ;o)
