Technically could be done. Two prominent reasons it isn't, in order:
1. Environ-mentalist's would stop it,

A Fire Blanket would do you any good if the air you are breathing under that blanket will boil off the water in your lung tissue.

#ValleyFire (S/E of #Alpine, San Diego Co) - Extreme fire behavior w/ fire moving to the N/W again, spotting a 1/2 mile out in front. May be looking at evacuations for Dehesa in the future per radio traffic, if the fire keeps moving that way.
Taking delight in the danger other Freepers face is prideful. One day you too will face the Judge, try and explain why you took pleasure in others suffering instead of praying for them. Good luck with that.

The #ValleyFire in #SanDiegoCounty continues burn at 1,500+ acres with extreme fire behavior spotting a 1/2 mile out in front. IC now advising there is active structure loss occurring in East Lawson Valley.

Scanner: “Multiple burn victims and some people with broken feet/broken bones” being picked up now from Mammoth Pool Reservoir, they were injured in Creek Fire
Those firefighters died of smoke inhalation.
Maybe smoke heated gi a couple hundred degrees. I don’t know what they died of the point is they aim died. The fire blankets did no good

After all, everything else in our society nowadays is moot if we aren't more afraid of the virus than we are from the fire itself.
