Ed Buck pleaded not guilty today to an updated indictment charging him with multiple felonies, including giving drugs to Gemmel Moore, a 26-year-old Black man who overdosed and died at Bucks West Hollywood apartment after being enticed across state lines for prostitution.
A bail reconsideration hearing was set for Sept. 25, at which time defense attorneys are expected to argue that Buck should be released to await trial due to the COVID-19 pandemic currently moving through jails and prisons. Buck, 66, has offered to put up a $400,000 signature bond and submit to electronic monitoring and home confinement, court papers show.
Prosecutors allege that Buck has a history of injecting young Black men with drugs and paying them for sexual activity and emphasized in a court filing that a previous judges ruling denied pretrial release on grounds of danger to the community. Buck, who is white, is known for his financial support for Democratic Party candidates on the county, state and national levels. He also was a donor to the election campaigns of all current members of the West Hollywood City Council, with the exception of Mayor Lindsey Horvath. He also was an unsuccessful candidate for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council.
Buck was an influential member of the Stonewall Democrats, which eventually diverted some of the money Buck had contributed to other causes. As an animal rights activist, he was an important figure in the election of City Councilmember John DAmico in 2011, when DAmico promised to push for a ban on fur sales.
Buck is scheduled to go to trial in Los Angeles federal court on nine counts next year. He also faces state charges of running a drug den, but the federal case will proceed first.

What does Schiffty Schiff, Buck’s butt buddy have to say about this????
I wonder what Schiff and Ted Lieu think about all this, after all Ed Buck was their bestest buddy
I’m 66 and can’t perform with a man OR a woman. Those blue pills do the tric but that doesn’t mean I need a 25 year old woman. Nelson Rockefeller did and he went out happy. I’ll b thinking about it in 10 years.
This guy may claim to be the unluckiest man alive. Not one but two dead men were found at his house at different times.
I wonder what his legal defense will be, that he is just unlucky that guys visit him and end up dead????
“As an animal rights activist” - WTH?
“I’m a retired investor living on a pension. I came home to vote in the Presidential Election because they wouldn’t give me an absentee ballot.”
Great Hyman Roth reference.
Thanks for posting and the pics of EVIL. How can these EVIL SUBHUMANS be in this wonderful republic? One is still “free as a bird” offering advice to the EVIL ‘rat candidate. WTF? As we wind on down the road, we have to confront and eliminate evil in order “to form a more perfect union”. Whoever imagined in their wildest nightmares that there were so many EVIL Americans in our midst?
He’s kind of got that skinny down-low look if you know what I mean.
Yeah, and those 2 dead males are just the ones we know about. I wonder how many murders he has gotten away with.
I recognized the quote but couldn’t place the name. Thanks for doing it.

By all that’s Holy this guy should feel well and truly screwed. But BLM sorta only applies in certain situations, so I’m betting he skates like an abortionist.
If they found two, imagine how high the real number is.
