I live in Colorado as well, and we do the same thing you do, we always drop our ballots at the drop boxes. I agree, I dont trust that some postal worker with an agenda (or who is just careless) wont toss our ballots.
I dont trust that my original ballot actually made it to the precinct without being steamed open and replaced, so going there and being told they have it wont make me feel comfortable. It probably shouldnt for anyone else, either.
I drop off my moms absentee ballot when I vote at the poll every election, HOWEVER it is not the mail I am worried about it is the people counting the ballots!!
Could use some more .223.
Fighting fire with fire.
I’m pretty sure that #1 if your mail in was recorded you will be turned away at the polls. #2 if your mail in was not recorded, you vote at the polls and when they get to your steamed open and replaced ballot they will disqualify it because you already voted. i.e. you only got one vote and in the process thwarted the fraudsters.
ABSENTEE ballots need to be printed with special ink on special paper-—like currency, & ONLY printed at special printing companies.
Ballot harvesting this election will not be as easy for the Dems nursing homes are closed to the public, AND universities are closed a HUGE harvesting place for them!! SO all of these regulations they have put in place are going to bite them in the butt!!
I know the way it works for absentee voting in my state is that the sealed absentee ballots are delivered to your polling place the morning of the election. So the poll workers there should know who voted absentee. At the end of the night those envelopes are opened and those votes added to the polling station total.
With these new non-absentee mail votes, who knows?
I wonder if this move by the President is aimed at making some states reconsider their vote-by-mail plans.
When I send in a ballot via mail, I always call the voter office to see if the ballot arrived. Then, I just have to take their word that it did. This time, as in 2016, I expected to vote in person but wonder about the long lines.
Ummm... They will look at the list to see if your name is checked off. They most likely look up your name anyway to see if you are registered.
It is brilliant and I was already considering doing this anyway, if I receive a mail in ballot.
This is not unethical - it is the system’s fault if the vote counts twice - the person voting is NOT culpable.
I decided on this course long ago. If our “voting system” is so good I am trusting they will sort out any “extra” votes. I am not taking any chances.
If Biden wins in November Trump has made it clear that he will challenge the results on vote fraud grounds. Advocating vote fraud yourself is not going to help make your case.
Which is exactly the point he is making.
People in CO, led by Denver and Boulder, hold the liberal majority.
Yup. Common sense.
