Mississippi has unveiled a new state flag design that will be put to a public vote in November, after the old banner was retired because it included the Confederate battle emblem.
The new flag features a magnolia flower, and was the result of a two-month challenge to find a replacement, which saw 3,000 suggestions submitted by the public.
The old flag was officially retired on June 30.

Should have used a butterfly, to indicate a liberal’s lightweight nature.

People in MS can vote this down. I would do so no matter what new flag is submitted. I am not optimistic about the voters of MS coming through.

That flag is waaaaaay too chickified for me.
And I’m a chick.

How long will it be before the Left demands a new flag because of the 'In God We Trust'
emblazoned on this one?

Call it the Mississippi Surrender Flag.
All it needs is some purple and yellow and they would have a rainbow fag

If they approve this, the people of Mississippi can make the claim they are colorblind. Not nice color coordinating. Icky. Poo. Crap.

Notice it is not red, white and blue, but red, YELLOW and blue. The yellow stripes run vertically, kind of like the yellow that runs down a coward’s back.

Agreed. The addition of “God” is to get this version of the flag past voters to remove the “racist” flag, then comes the follow-up with “God” removed.

It looks as if it was designed by a color-blind Canadian.
