Jim Palmer’s up there too. (And is Nolan Ryan a righty or a southpaw, I keep forgetting.)

Right off the top of my head, the great RH pitchers in my lifetime: Seaver, Maddux, Marichal, Palmer, Hunter, Ryan, Clemens, Gibson, Jenkins, Sutton. I'm sure I'm leaving some worthy candidates out.

Marichal gets a demerit for hitting an umpire in the head with a baseball bat. Otherwise, agreed.

The most egregious omission was Pedro Martinez.

I checked Baseball Reference, and Tom Seaver was #2 among the "modern" pitchers with a career WAR (the standard summary performance measure) of 109.9. Seaver was #6 in WAR all-time among starting pitchers. The only modern ahead of Seaver was Clemens with a WAR of 139.2 (which puts him #3 all-time).

Bob Gibson was #17 all-time in WAR at 89.2. Walter Johnson and Cy Young had insane WAR scores of 164.5 and 163.8, respectively.
