I wished I shared his optimism on this, but I think the House is out of reach due to (a) no campaigning by the GOP because of COVID-19, and (2) the game plan set forth for the 2018 House seats in California.

Trump would need massive coattails to make it happen. Unfortunately, most of the GOP has distanced themselves from him politically.

The House is very much takeable.
We already picked up one seat in the bye elections in California this year.
There are 30 Dem seats in congressional districts that Trump won. Expect Trump to campaign strongly for some of these candidates.

This is the exact same thing that happened in 2016.

Many pundits were astonished that the GOP was able to keep both the House and Senate, since many of those candidates DID distance themselves from Trump.

You are right about GOP congress critters distancing themselves from the president, but the voters didn’t and they know he needs R’s in majority to move his agenda forward.
GOP voters will not let him down!
