* My father-in-law was a big DC official (white, WW2 vet - Iwo, Mil. Intell senior officer) who wanted to promote a young, talented black man into a position of responsibility (as his possible successor). The black establishment vetoed it.
* The original DC Statehood constitution was written by Maurice Jackson (now Prof. Jackson of Georgetown Un) while he was the head of the Communist Party of DC/VA. How do I know besides the fact that my old newspaper broke the story (Human Events weekly)?
I took a class on Marxism with him at the Communist Party’s school, the W.E.B. DuBois School of Marxist Studies (See: “Covert Cadre: Inside the Institute for Policy Studies”, S. Steven Powell, Green Hill, 1987, pp. 31 & 94).
Also, he openly ran for a DC office as such.
* Eleanor Holmes Norton”, the DC non-voting Representative in Congress. I’d love to see her FBI files, esp. when she was an official in NY City. Word is that they are full of goodies. She has a record of supporting various communist/Marxist fronts in DC. Some might be at www.keywiki.org, under her name. I know a lot of information on her has not been published yet.
* Marxists literally run DC after it got home-rule. Key person was Sammy Abdullah Abbott, CPUSA; Julius Hobson and his wife; Councilman/Mayor/crook Marion Barry had ties to extremist groups. Ivanhoe Donaldson, Vice-Mayor - went to jail for stealing about $500,000 from the city. Old SNCC organizer and had ties to other radical groups.
Mayor Bowser has now come out as a black Marxist fool and this commission and its recommendations are proof of it.
Well, we sure don’t need to make it the 51st state!
