Who knew that arresting criminals would lead to a drop in crime?

It is not just the arresting it is the keeping them locked up.

I once read an article complaining that the US has so many people locked up even through it has a comparatively low crime rate. They did not seem to understand that when you keep the criminals locked up where they are unable to commit crimes the crime rate drops.

People who are habitual criminals can only be controlled by putting them where they can not re-offend.

exactly ... and that gets accomplished by levying Federal charges because Federal prosecutors aren’t going to be letting the assholes walz out of the jail as soon as they are arrested like Soros-funded prosecutors do ...
