This is the first time I heard a family wanting a lawyer present to discuss the death of their family member with the President.

Smart move, probably that Ahole Crump
To: yesthatjallen
lawyers = Crump & crew. They would have made any meeting a political circus.

It’s not only inappropriate, it’s retarded and threatening.

“...Blake, a Black man, was shot in the black seven times by a police officer. “
Obsessed a little by the word “black,” y’think?

I don’t think Trump wanted to talk legal points with them.

Correct, I’ve never heard of such a thing. Sounds like the coaching from BLM is to make it impossible for Trump to see them. BLM is a racist organization

That family had a chance to do something constructive again and they just blew it.

The president tries to make a heartfelt phone call and they try to put an attorney on the line? Very inappropriate.

Why would Trump even bother meeting with the family at all?
To: yesthatjallen

And the guy is not even dead. That might be why. He will still face legal issues once he recovers. He was in a world of hurt with his actions that day.

Did the lawyers want to serve POTUS a subpoena?

Blake is a dubious hero. Trump is good to keep some space there.

Check out the comments at The Hill for this one. They are surprisingly right-left balanced. Usually The Hill comment sections are a free-for-all sewer of insane lefties. I have a certain level of tolerance for the loony left (liberalism is a mental illness) but usually The Hill comments sections disgust me.

Trump doesn’t even use email for legal reasons. So he’s going to sit down where there’s a lawyer on the phone (recording what he says for later dissemination)?
