A Manhattan judge became the latest victim of senseless city violence when she was cold-cocked by an apparent stranger on a bike while walking to work Monday, officials and law enforcement sources told The Post.
Criminal court Judge Phyllis Chu, 56, had just gotten off the Staten Island Ferry and was headed to her job at the downtown courthouse at 100 Centre St. around 9:40 a.m. when she was suddenly slugged in the jaw by a male cyclist at the corner of Wall and Water streets.
With no words exchanged, a bicyclist riding in the opposite direction as the one she was walking in just punched her in the face and kept going, Lucian Chalfen, spokesman for the citys Office of Court Administration, told The Post.

Black racists doing what black racists do.
Staten Island? Might be the only GOP judge in the city?
Someone tried this on a judge in Steubenville, Ohio a few years ago.
That judge had a CCP and shot the perp.
It’s only when this stuff starts happening to the elite that they will put a stop to it.
Warning. Graphic. This man might have possibly been killed here. Don't know yet.

A criminal court judge. I wonder what her sentencing philosophy is.
I will be vastly amused if it’s someone Her Honor gave a no-bail release, or gave a VERY short and mild sentence for a violent crime conviction.
“Black racists doing what black racists do.”
Do. More than observe, more that make note.
Now I believe this may be random, and it's just general not prosecuted criminal behavior that is skyrocketing in NYC and other Dem cities.
Bring back the police, NYC
Why do they call these senseless. There is a definite purpose to it.
Judge Phyllis Chu served most of her career with the Kings County District Attorneys Office for 23 years holding various positions including Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Homicide Bureau. Judge Chu received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law.
She does have experience.
White judge, black cyclist = ho-hum.
Black judge, white cyclist = burn something down.
As judges of color who preside over criminal and civil matters within the community, we feel compelled, in light of events that have been and are unfolding before us all across the country, to take a moment to convey our thoughts, as to our responsibility and commitment as jurists.
W.E.B. Du Bois, the first African American to receive a Ph.D from Harvard University, wrote over a century ago in 1903, in his book titled The Souls of Black Folk, that:
Daily the [person of color] is coming more and more to look upon law and justice, not as protecting safeguards, but as sources of humiliation and oppression.
Sadly, for too many, such sentiments are as raw today as they were in 1903, as evidenced by worldwide protests in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.
Each day we seek to dispel any narrative or belief that looks upon courts as instruments of injustice, by treating each person fairly and impartially while upholding our oaths to the constitutions of the State of New York and the United States. However, there is much work to be done, and we like all judges must be mindful of the impact of systemic racism or bias in fulfilling the courts responsibility to ensure equal justice to all under the law.
We reaffirm our commitment to make a positive difference within our respective courts each day and to ensure that those appearing before us are treated equally, with the respect and dignity that both the law and humanity require.
Hows that leftist virtue-signaling workin out for ya?
And whoever took the video knew it was going to happen so videotaped his friend doing the unprovoked attempted (successful?). If the victim dies the videographer is guilty of FELONY MURDER.
I am growing weary of these low-IQ black racists and their attacks.
How do you know they were black?
