Hey, there, radu.

We have so many heroes to look up to. It’s amazing.

Heavens no, it was 102 today. But tomorrow we get a gradual cool-down until it’s in the 80s by Thursday. That would make me sooo happy! How were things there today? Any rain yet?

Hi Kathy, boy and I played video games last night after our dinner, always fun times.

My Sister is stopping by tomorrow on the way to her permanent move to Texas, I'll miss her.

Indeed, we do have a LOT of heroes to look up to.

Wow! You’re supposed to cool down to the 80s this week? That’ll be fabulous if it happens!

We finally got a little rain late this afternoon - a half inch. Other parts of TN got 2 or more inches. *sigh* Oh well, at least we got something. Still chances for rain the next few days so we have our fingers crossed for luck.

Hi there, radu...are you getting some rain?

It has started to rain here, but in fits and starts.

I start hearing rain on my skylight, sometimes REALLY heavy, and then a few minutes later, nothing. Then it starts again. The lawns should be happy regardless.

I’d LOVE to get 1/2 inch. That would be so nice. We are supposed to have a chance for some later this week, but I’m not holding my breath.

Glad you got it though. I hope there is more for you soon. Pretty soon, the cotton won’t need rain. Those bolls have to dry out to make nice cotton. We had a friend once who grew brown cotton in his garden. Very odd.

Hey there, Kathy.

We got a half inch of rain late this afternoon. Better than nothing.

I saw rain moving across from the mountains towards town on the airport cam and hoped you were getting some of it. Glad you did.

I’d love it, too, if you got a half inch. Y’all need it badly. I won’t hold my breath but will keep all appendages crossed for luck that you get some this week.

I think the cotton here has finally stopped blooming. The bolls are easy to see on the plants when I go in and out the driveway, which runs between the two front fields.
But on the way home from the museum yesterday Hubby took back roads and there are a LOT of fields of cotton this year. Most of them still have a lot of blooms so they must have been planted later than our fields.

Brown cotton? That’s a new one on me.

Thanks, SES1066, for sharing this story.

What made me furious was that he was wearing the neck ribbon & MoH medal but with civilian clothes. While I am certain that he asked the USAFA Administration for no honors, as he was a modest man, multiple cadets, unassociated and just transiting the area, failed to take notice. In the time since then I have come to a more charitable conclusion, that ALL cadets were informed at morning assembly that day and told not to 'see' it.

That is strange, and upsetting that they may have been told not to "see" it.

No wind at all until early afternoon. Even it comes and goes. I was in the living room at my "work" computer and didn't realize the wind was coming up. Walked to my "home" computer to post the thread and SAW it in action. My window was open at just the right angle for the gusts to come charging in....a pile of filing is now everywhere. 🤣🤣

No wonder your allergies were bad. You were surrounded by the stuff. LOL! Some rain there right now would fatten those bolls up and make for a bumper crop. Hope it happens....and it’ll help your garden too. Of course, your hubby won’t like the mowing. :D

A very pleasant good Monday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

It did look nice and calm up there this morning. Trees weren’t swaying and the lake was almost glassy. By noon, we could see the change and it was downhill from there. The sky got ugly and the lake was choppy. There’s been some interesting cloudage along the mountains.

Yikes on the wind blowing through your window and making a mess of your filing. That’s always fun to clean up. NOT! I hope there weren’t TOO many papers blown around.

That's what Hubby said. LOL!

Apparently most of the farmers are going with cotton this year. Very few fields had corn or soybeans.

The bolls here look good right now and if we can get some rain each day this week, they should plump up even more.

Yeah, Hubby's already grumbling about all the mowing ahead. He did some yesterday and the day before but there's a LOT of area to cover. What he mowed Fri. already looks shaggy again.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

I’ll bet you’re glad to have a quieter night/early morning. It looked pretty rough on the radar 24 hours ago. Quarter-size hail is NOT good.

Were you and Gizmo able to make it out for a romp at the lake yesterday?

Good morning, E...((HUGS))...hope your weather allows you and Gizmo to get out for some fun.

We are having high winds and off and on rain.

You boys have a great Monday.

Well, we had a great visit to Comanche Lake yesterday. Here the pics.

It is much quieter this morning then when it was 24 hours ago. Thankfully we didn't lose power from those storms. We did get golf ball sized hail.

it’s funny they went with the same thing. Do they like get together and discuss what they should do?
