New settlement evacuated by Israeli security forces - for the third time

Maaleh Shai, a new settlement founded in memory of terror victim Rabbi Shai Ohayon, was evacuated for the third time on Saturday.

Rabbi Ohayon, a 39-year-old father of four, was murdered by an Arab terrorist at Petah Tikva's Segula Junction on Wednesday.

Evacuees included the resident families, along with approximately 20 supporters who had arrived to spend Shabbat (the Sabbath) at the site.

The residents reported harsh violence against them during the evacuation, as well as the use of pepper spray.

Following the evacuation, local Arabs posted joyful videos on social media, which included celebrations and bonfires at the site. In the videos, the Arabs wrote that they were burning the Jews' belongings.

Approximately one hour after sunset on Friday, large IDF and Border Police forces arrived at the new settlement, dragging the families and their supporters to military vehicles and driving them to the Shilo Junction, where they were forced out of the vehicles together with their young children.

The residents also said that they had begged the forces not to force them to travel on Shabbat, since Jewish law forbids it, but their pleas fell on deaf ears. Instead, the families were handcuffed and forced into the vehicles.

They added that when they crossed the Arab village of Sinjil, the local Arabs threw rocks at the vehicles.

Yedidya, one of the residents, said: "We went once more to the hill of Maaleh Shai, with the goal of breaking boundaries and changing a trend in the settlements, moving forward and settling every area of our land. Border Police forces came and with violence...they unloaded us, violently, near Shilo. We will return and go back to Maaleh Shai, and with G-d's help we will reach every corner of our land."

I don’t know why anyone accepts the term “settlements” in relation to Israel’s land—land that belongs to Israel forever, period. In the United States, we would call them “apartment complexes” or “condominiums” or simply NEIGHBORHOODS.

They should have shot at the troops — who are all Druze. the IDF doesn’t use Jewish soldiers to remove Jewish residents from so-called “settlements.”

I believe that the peace treaty between Israel and the UAE is dependent on a temporary hold on any new settlements.

For the sake of the US, for Trump's chances in November, and for the long term chances of peace in the Middle East I believe it is great that Israelis who are violating the peace treaty are sent packing.

most Druze are quite loyal to Israel anyway.

but yes, Jews do need to learn how to fight back, and fight for their rights, and fight for their homes and families

And calling it the "Abraham Accord" is a slap in the face to Almighty God, who made the everlasting covenant with Abraham for the land.

Trump unveiled the "deal of the century" in January, and our nation has been under severe judgment ever since. Now, with the "Abraham Accord", I fear it will get much worse.

God gave Adam and Eve dominion over everything in the Garden of Eden. It was paradise. He had only one rule: do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

They broke it.

God asked for one small piece of real estate in all of the world - Israel.

And every leader, nation, and people want their hands on His land.

Trump made a massive mistake by proposing plans to divide up His land. And we as a nation will pay for it.
