Chadwick Boseman’s ["Black Panther" star] final tweet was a powerful one, supporting Sen. Kamala Harris and encouraging Americans to vote in the upcoming election.

My Dad had polyps twice in his life...non-cancerous so they said, and removed them both times. He was a smoker and died of lung cancer. I had diverticulitis, no polyps, but ended up with a perforated bowel, had a temporary colostomy, then reversal, and my digestive system has been okay ever since. I never smoked. My youngest son, now 49, was diagnosed with cancerous polyps in 2019, had two re-sections, and six months of chemo, and is cancer free. He smoked, and still smokes, although not as much. Of course I worry about his smoking, but I’m in New York State, and he’s in Indiana, so there’s not much I can do about it. Besides, he’s the kind of person, who the more you harp on something, the more he’ll do it. He’s a 12 year old in the body of a 49 year old man. I feel sorry for his wife.

My son was 48 last year when he was diagnosed with cancerous polyps. They were so big, that they must have been there for quite a while. His doctor said he wished he had come 10 years earlier, but they weren't doing colonoscopies on 39 year old people then.

Black nurse I work with has a husband who is a cop in a major city.

He does the hand to hand training for the department. Dude looks like an MMA fighter in his early to mid 40s.

He had a physical, and the doctor had him do a routine stool occult blood test. Came back positive.

Turned out he had early stage colon cancer.

He went through six cycles of FOLFOX and is in remission, back to work and doing good at this point.
