MBps (MegaBits per second - not bytes but bits - confusing) Sounds like you have fiber optics? I live in the woods. Not even cable here. DSL only. I wouldn’t get 10MBps if we didn’t happen to live 1/4 mile from the BIG telephone box that has it’s own electric service and meter. We could get 15MBps but $50/mth is high enough.
1080p is iffy but most apps either have settings or self adjust. 720p is fine. I can watch 1080p on youtube fine but utube buffers and not all streaming apps do.
I just happened to think. I still have a firestick. I need to try a few tricks to get the nVidia box unlocked. Might be bricked. Android being google, my tin foil side of the brain makes me wonder if they didn’t send out a kill signal due to my conservative views on the web.
I have Spectrum internet - fiber is not here in Dayton,OH yet.
Before I upgraded to their 100MB service ($70/mo), I had 15MB ($50/mo) and used ROKU (Premier+ model which is now discontinued) without much buffering.
Even with my 15MB service, I did discover modem and router can make a difference in performance.
