Wisconsin Lutheran College updating campus this summer with help of $5.2M gift
Wonder if that anonymous donation has anything to do with this...
1 Timothy 6:10
King James Version
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I was born, baptized, confirmed and raised Lutheran. I attended a small Lutheran college. This once conservative, Christian college has gone so far left and liberal, I don’t even recognize it anymore. They have even done away with the mascot because it wasn’t politically correct. Their letters begging for money go directly into the trash. The Lutheran church I attend has also gone far left liberal. I was struggling with what I should do and where I should go. This long hiatus of not going to church has given me time to think. I wonder if there will even be a church when/if it ever opens again. My church left me, I didn’t leave my church.
Biden was a VP and he is now head of an "incredibly divisive and controversial ticket". I bet the letter writers would have no problem with Biden speaking there...
Maybe the administration is afraid that the rioters will burn down their college. Living in fear.
Lutherans were involved in the bringing into America lots of jihadi refugees. They are increasingly liberal even in the Missouri Synod. I know my husband & I are Lutheran and having a hard time finding a good traditional church without groveling and pandering to the worst of the multicultural activist mindset.
They threw out the solid Christian curriculum they had and brought in Common Core junk.
You might consider changing denominations, at least for the time being. God won’t mind....................
It’s my husband’s church long line of German family & Lutheran affiliation. He is very laid back. We have gone to other churches...we move around now. Many churches really need help, declining attendance & memberships.
I have been to many different ‘churches’ over the years.
It’s not outside you, it’s in you................
Who is their “non-controversial” replacement for Pence? Lori Lightfoot? Nancy Pelosi? Stacey Abrams? Pete Buttigieg?
RE: Who is their non-controversial replacement for Pence?
A BLM Spokesman, maybe NBA’s Lebron James?
There is no First Amendment right to shout down a speaker. If a governmental actor, such a public university, sides with the heckler by canceling the event or refusing to protect the speaker against use of force, it has failed to uphold the speakers free speech rights.
In Forsyth County v. Nationalist Movement (1992), the Supreme Court held that the First Amendment protects [t]hose wishing to express views unpopular with bottle throwers . . . Speech cannot be financially burdened, any more than it can be punished or banned, simply because it might offend a hostile mob.

Fear?
My family attends a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. Rock solid conservative. Nothing soft about it.
The right thing to do was to make sure there is plenty of protection for Pence and the college. It was wrong to cave to tyrants. Remember Martin Luther when facing death, stood defiantly and said, Here I stand, I can do no other. So help me God. We need Martin Luthers, not wimps.
If you were ELCA, Id never go back.
I left the apostate ELCA, after their merger in 1988 and have been happily LCMS since. This grieves me. We are the last good hope.
Wish you could come to our church. Were solid.
It’s the new generation Pastors getting trained lib...spoke to an old timer about it.
We found another Lutheran church near us we are going to check out...
