Many in the mainstream media were gawking on Twitter Thursday night about those not wearing masks at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on the White House’s South Lawn. Yet, some were not wearing masks themselves.
At least ten members of the mainstream media took to Twitter to complain about the lack of mask usage at the final night of the RNC on the South Lawn of the White House:

One TV station I watch has several key people advocating mask usage wearing masks with gaps one inch from their nostrils.
Unless vaccination is at hand, mask usage may turn out to be rather ineffective.

The only reason some of the rioters wear masks is so they can’t be recognized. Everybody knows the KungFlu doesn’t spread at mostly peaceful riots.
The media doesn’t even realize that they appear foolish at every turn. The perfect metaphor is standing in front of burning building being looted saying t’s mostly peaceful. The media themselves have created a national joke of this ad themselves.
The lefties had to not wear their masks in order to voice their displeasure at other people not wearing masks.
Masks don’t work anyway.

I watched our local FOX newscasters during the (local) Ft. McHenry portion.
After Pence and as Trump walked up to the podium area, the newscasters began mentioning how there were few masks and not really any distancing....and violating the 25-person gathering limit!
This COVID junk has to stop, as well as the obsession with it for everything but riots.
Oh they have masks. So they’re oK. How convenient they have masks.

It's going away. New cases, hospitalizations and deaths all trending downwards. The only thing the media can grasp on to is the occasional expected cluster, typically at colleges where there is .0001% risk.

the 5-hr video which now requires signing in which, in the first five minutes, shows crowd north, south, east, west - you can’t see where it ends in any direction. if it wasn’t 1.3m, it certainly wasn’t 20,000:

Well, they have to complain about something. They can’ bring themselves to agree with the evil orange man. My favorite was when a CBS newsie was going on about the fireworks seemingly sounding impressed by them, but ending with “... on government property.” as if to say that they shouldn’t be doing that.
They will complain about every tiny, little detail.

The MSM knows the optics of the RNC Convention was 100X better than the bad Zoom call DNC Convention, so the MSM whines about masks. The game is up. People are tired of the useless masks. They want hope. They want a better future. The RNC Convention offered up that message.
