Most states (30) allow possession of a long arm with no age limitations. There probably are safety classes that are required though.

If Kyle had taken a hunter safety class he was legal. And hunters cross state lines all the time. He might get tripped up on some sort of “conspiracy to commit crimes” but I doubt it. They would have to show intent that he went there to commit crimes.

The day prior he is photographed cleaning graffiti off a wall in Kenosha. It sounds more like a group that said “We need help in protecting the small shops.”

That happened awhile ago in a small town near mine. A bunch of armed folks found out on Facebook about the protest and stood around outside the shops while the protestors marched down the street.

Thx, I am not privy to all the regs on open carry laws for WI and IL

But he is considered a minor in both States, correct?

I thought parental permission was required for any minor to handle any weapon even for hunting purposes.

I would imagine IL would be much stricter, making it illegal for any minor to posses a firearm.

Thanks. I will bet that he has firearm certs and training as he was preparing himself to be LEO.
