KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) Prosecutors on Thursday charged a 17-year-old from Illinois in the fatal shooting of two protesters and the wounding of a third in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during a night of unrest following the weekend police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Kyle Rittenhouse faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide, one count of first-degree reckless homicide, one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment. He would face a mandatory life sentence if convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, the most serious crime in Wisconsin.

Another freeper said that in Wisconsin a minor can possess a firearm with an adult, or by themselves if they have the training course.
I have not looked at the actual laws. In nearby Minnesota that was the case many (many!) years ago. I think they change the laws in Minnesota though. It is 16 years old to buy a long gun. I think I was about 14 when I bought my first shotgun.
Those are high standard charges. Like trying to squat 700 lbs. Either the prosecutors are trying to get thrown out or they’re corrupt.
This kid walks free in the end. They might catch him on carrying a weapon across the state line, but he’s 17.

Kyle's alive. Only because he defended himself from their Assaults, two of them with deadly weapons.
Do any of your questions have anything to do with self defense? Do your questions ignore the bill of rights? If it was your son would you have preferred he have an inferior rifle? No rifle at all?
I feel like I’m in bizzaro world. A 17 year was attacked on the streets by armed rioters and is under arrest for defending himself! Think about that along with your questions that don’t matter.
